Your budget. Broken down. On camera.
Budget Breakdown is a new show from AdviseYou. Bring your real numbers — a registered financial adviser sits down with you, on camera, and helps you build a plan for what’s not working.
- Take-home pay (fortnightly)$2,150
- Rent$860
- BNPL repayments$310
- Eating out$240
- Where did the rest go????
You’re not bad with money. You just haven’t seen it clearly.
- You check your account and immediately close the app.
- Afterpay and Zip are quietly running your fortnight.
- You couldn’t say exactly what you spent last week.
- You’ve meant to “sort the budget out” for months.
- Payday feels like a reset button, not progress.
A real budget. A real adviser. No script.
Each episode, one guest sits down with Rajat Baria, a registered financial adviser, and opens up their real income, bills and debts for an honest, on-camera breakdown. No judgment, no jargon — just a clear look at the numbers and a practical plan to turn them around.
Filmed in Blacktown, NSW.

Meet Rajat Baria.
Rajat started his career at a payday loan shop in Blacktown — and quickly saw how many people needed real advice, not another loan. That sent him back to UNSW for a postgraduate degree in Financial Planning, then through Westpac’s credit and lending side and the Commsec trading floor, before qualifying as a registered financial adviser with Apex Wealth Services.
